We’re sporting a new name and a new web site this week!
We decided on this name for three reasons.
- Our product is a great way to get your WordPress projects and clients “in line”.
- The play on words (play on code?) will be, we hope, an attention grabber for web designers and anyone else who knows CSS, which happens to be a target market for us.
- The domain was available.
To be honest, I personally don’t love how it sounds. The more I say it, the easier it has become. But we think the unique way of writing will provide enough stickiness to make up for it in the future.
And besides, our VP of Product, Cat Climaco, already evolved the name into something a lot more smooth. WP:inline -> WPi -> Whoopie! I hope you’ll all adopt it because it just feels a lot better saying that in the middle of a pitch than the official name.
If nothing else, I’m pretty sure this makes Webatix the first company to include a Whoopie Button in a WordPress product.
